Submit Your Colfax Story
“Everyone becomes a Colfax Qid after they’ve had a Colfax experience.”
Whether you grew up around Colfax, passed through it for a night, worked on it, lived near it, or found yourself there unexpectedly, chances are you’ve got a story connected to the avenue or the streets surrounding it.
Colfax Qids exists to document and preserve the experiences, memories, people, and culture connected to the longest avenue in America — the parts that often go unnoticed, undocumented, or misunderstood.
Some stories are funny. Some are strange. Some are beautiful, uncomfortable, heartbreaking, chaotic, or unforgettable. Together, they form a living archive of the avenue and the people connected to it.
All submissions are anonymous unless otherwise requested and are reviewed before publication. Selected stories may be featured on the Colfax Qids blog and social media platforms.
You do not have to be from Colfax to contribute. If the avenue left an impression on you, we want to hear about it.
Every Qid starts with a story.
Wear Colfax Qids
Colfax Qids exists to preserve real experiences connected to the avenue and the people around it.
We welcome stories that are honest, emotional, strange, funny, difficult, chaotic, or deeply human. At the same time, this is not a platform for shock value, criminal bragging, exploitation, or dehumanizing others.
If your story involves sensitive situations, we encourage you to focus on the experience, atmosphere, memory, or impact rather than graphic detail or glorification.
Please consider changing names and identifying details when appropriate to protect the privacy and safety of others.
